Legal advice following a fatal road traffic accident
Losing a loved one as a result of a road traffic accident is painful enough in itself. But the financial hardship that can be caused to the partner and children of the deceased as a result of the loss adds to that pain.
Ashton Morton Slack's solicitors deal with many fatal cases, as a result of road traffic accidents, as well as accidents at work and occupational diseases. We are able to deal with matters in an empathetic way, always taking the strain of the process away from the bereaved and building a relationship with our client that often lasts well beyond the end of the claim itself.
Dealing with fatal cases needs experience and sensitivity and at Ashton Morton Slack our solicitors have many people with the experience required. We are also Corporate Sponsors of BRAKE, the national road safety charity, and are currently sponsoring their Family Liaison Officers information pack for use in just such cases. To find out more about how we can help if a loved one has been involved in a fatal accident call our team of solicitors in Sheffield on 0870 609 3623 and talk to one of our experts.

Prompt action forces a response from insurance company
"Following a road traffic accident a report of our client’s injuries was forwarded to the negligent driver's insurance company. They did not respond within the 21 day period allowed in the personal injury protocol despite being chased numerous times by telephone / fax / post. The insurance company continued to ignore my attempts at contact so I ended up having to write a formal letter of complaint to the insurance company giving them 7 days to respond or the matter would be referred to the Financial Services Ombudsman (FSO) or the General Insurance Standards Council (GISC).
A manager from the insurers called me within a few days and ended up negotiating a sum of £4700.00 for personal injury compensation. Our client was very happy with this and has accepted the offer finalising her claim."
