Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs where the median nerve that passes through the tunnel from the forearm to the hand becomes squeezed or pressed against the side of the tunnel. This often occurs because the tendons become swollen and overfill the tunnel.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is often caused by prolonged or frequent repetitive movement. The symptoms include pins and needles, tingling, numbness and burning sensations.
