Insufficient Training
All employers have a duty to take reasonable care for the safety of their staff. Employers must, by law, provide a safe working environment for their employees.
Employers are required to provide employees with appropriate training and supervision in order to reduce the risk of injury. If an employer fails to provide adequate training or supervision, they may have to pay compensation for injuries sustained by employees.
An appropriate training period is said to be 3 to 5 days for those who have no experience in the relevant area. Supervision must also be provided to ensure that the training received is being put into practice and being adhered to.
If you have suffered an accident at work as a result of insufficient training, Ashton Morton Slack’s experienced personal injury team can help you claim compensation.
