Ashton Morton Slack boosts Sheffield Professional Sector

The Sheffield Professional Sector continues to strengthen their position in challenging Leeds' traditional regional dominance, as local law firm Ashton Morton Slack welcome some key solicitors to the firm.
In the latest addition to their team Ashton Morton Slack have secured leading Commercial Solicitor Richard Larking who joins from Walker Morris.Richard spent seven years in the Royal Navy and while he was there he did an A-level in law, he went on to read law at the University of Sheffield and secured a scholarship to spend his second year in New York. He completed his training contract at Eversheds which included a secondment with Oftel, the former telecommunications regulatory body. Richard was an associate solicitor for 4 years at commercial Leeds firm Walker Morris, advising national and international clients.
Richard joins hot on the heels of Catherine Lewis, Catherine joined the firm in March to head the Defendant Litigation team having gained valuable experience working at DLA for 14 years as an Associate in Defendant Insurance Litigation. She joins Ashton Morton Slack after a career break to look after her young family and we are pleased to welcome her to the team.
Catherine was attracted to Ashton Morton Slack by Ed Hartley's excellent Defendant PI reputation and she is looking forward to building upon his success and getting stuck into the good quality work.
Richard's arrival is the latest in a series of high profile appointments and as we head into the new financial year the firm are delighted to announce that Zoe Holland, Emma Priestnal, Catherine Lewis and Richard Larking are now Partners and we are pleased that Senior Partners John Hodgson and Peter Babb now take on the role of Consultants with the firm.
