Acquisition of Nursing Home Business

Over the past eighteen months, Ashton Morton Slack's business services team have acted for Hill Care Limited on its acquisition of six nursing homes totalling around £15 million pounds.

Acquisition of Hallam Beauty

In 2006, Ashton Morton's Slack provided legal advice for G R Industries in its acquisitions of Harmer Personal Care of Bradford for an undisclosed sum.

Harmer, now renamed Hallam Beauty develops and manufactures technically advanced haircare and skincare products for many of the cosmetic industry's leading brand names.

G R industries say the deal means a bright future for Hallam Beauty and its 117 staff. Chairman and chief executive Graham Royal said "I am delighted with the acquisition as Hallam Beauty vertically integrates perfectly within the group and we have some exciting investment plans for the new company." Sale of the Old Bowling Green

In 2007, Ashton Morton Slack acted for the sellers of the Old Bowling Green to Enterprise Inns Plc. The Old Bowling Green had been owned by Ashton Morton Slack's clients for some four years before its owners decided to downsize to a smaller pub in Tideswell.

Acquisition of Lakeland Leisure Limited

Ashton Morton Slack acted on the purchase of nine caravan/static home sites for in excess of £43 million for a joint venture between a UK Company and a Jersey based property trust.
