Compromise Agreements
This is a legally binding agreement between employee and employer. Compromise agreements are used where there is a termination of employment which could give rise to a claim at the Employment Tribunal. The employer will usually give the employee cash and in return the employee waives their right to make a claim.
The agreements are almost always confidential, making them attractive to employers who can avoid the cost and negative publicity an employment hearing can bring. Ashton Morton Slack ensure that the Compromise Agreement covers all claims that an employee may have bringing a definite conclusion to a situation that could otherwise prove costly.
