Maternity and paternity rights

Depending on certain criteria mothers may be entitled to 52 weeks maternity leave, 39 weeks of which you may be entitled to receive Statutory Maternity Pay.  It may be that your employers offer a more generous scheme and so it is always advisable to discuss the matter with them.

Fathers are entitled to 2 weeks paternity leave but will only receive statutory paid leave if they earn below £87 per week.  Again it is advisable to enquire of employer to see what provisions they make in relation to paternity leave.

We are happy to have an initial telephone discussion without charge on any matter. We aim to have a clear and flexible approach to funding options, therefore we can provide an outline of what the estimated cost may be at the outset.  This allows you to assess at an early stage whether it is financially viable to pursue the matter.   For more details on the funding options available please click here.
