Bullying and Harassment
Bullying in the work place can take many forms and can be carried out by anyone you work with. Whether it be a colleague or a manager who is bullying you Ashton Morton Slack can offer an understanding approach to resolving your situation. Regardless of the stage at which you are at Ashton Morton Slack can assist with a letter on your behalf to your employers, help you draft your grievance or ultimate represent you at a tribunal should you have felt the need to resign from your employment.
If you feel like you are the victim of bullying at work then it may be an idea to keep a brief diary of events that have occurred. This will enable you to have an accurate record of the incidents you have been subjected to and could prove very useful should the matter escalate to either a disciplinary hearing against the colleague bullying you or ultimately at an Employment Tribunal should things become so serious.
It should be noted, however, that your employer's grievance procedure (usually contained within your contract of employment or staff handbook) should be followed as this may affect your right to bring a claim to the tribunal or lead to a reduction in any damages awarded.
We are happy to have an initial telephone discussion without charge on any matter. We aim to have a clear and flexible approach to funding options, therefore we can provide an outline of what the estimated cost may be at the outset. This allows you to assess at an early stage whether it is financially viable to pursue the matter. For more details on the funding options available please click here.
